These rates apply to bookings made on or after October 1, 2025. All payments continue to be made via eCitizen.
Why KWS revised these fees
KWS has explained that the increase will help bridge a KSh 12 billion annual conservation funding gap and support the maintenance of roads, park gates, ranger housing, and visitor facilities.
The goal is to make Kenya’s parks more sustainable while ensuring that wildlife protection and visitor experience remain top-class.
What This Means for Travellers
- Plan ahead: Include the updated park fees when budgeting your safari. (We however include park fees in all our quotations)
- Book early: Entry tickets are now digital purchase through eCitizen before your visit.
At Exploring Kenya, we’re adjusting our upcoming itineraries to reflect the new rates while ensuring that you still get the best value and memorable experiences in every park you visit.
Our Take
The revision may feel like a big change, but it’s also a positive step toward long-term conservation and better park management.
When you pay your park entry fee, you’re not just buying access , you’re contributing to the survival of Kenya’s incredible wildlife heritage.
